Some places have a way of becoming part of your story long before you understand just how meaningful they are. For our family, that place has always been Granville. So many of our favorite memories are tied to this town and the simple traditions that came with growing up here. The weekends spent together in the village, visiting the shops we had come to love and running into people who felt more like neighbors than strangers. It’s a feeling that has stayed with us through the years and is a big part of what makes this community so special, and Kussmaul has always been a part of that story for us.

For years, we walked through these doors as customers, browsing the shelves, finding gifts, and taking in all the little details that made the store feel special. Never did we imagine that one day we would have the opportunity to become part of its next chapter. My daughter and I are stepping into this new chapter together surrounded by family and supported by a community that has given us so much over the years. We want to honor the history and charm that have made this store a part of Granville for so many years, while bringing a fresh perspective to the things we love.

We feel incredibly lucky to be doing this together, in the town that raised us and in a store we grew up loving. A new chapter, rooted in the same place.
